Jet-lag fight continues

Several days in, still fighting rear-guard action against the conviction that 8pm is a reasonable time to go to sleep and staying up is for wussies. Today we found more local stores and wandered around Shibuya and Roppongi— big shopping/eating areas up the hill from us. We have officially acquired a new form of life for the apartment– Ika the Ivy. (Named squid in honor of the tentacular fight he put up as the plant shop lady attempted to wrestle him thru the giftwrapping process most purchases are subjected to around these parts.)

Tentacles poised for balcony domination!

Also went exploring a local cemetery which we are told is a more happening place than you’d expect. It was pretty dead when we walked through tho (groan away, that pun was just begging to be used). Made a very nice escape from the concrete jungle either way and we discovered a little gaggle of foreigners in the back. Interestingly (to me anyway) the 1800s and early 1900s divided pretty evenly between British and American missionaries and German doctors and professors.
